People judge way too quick.
Without knowing, without studying, without understanding and loving. Judgment is necessary in some (rare) cases but should be used as last resort, after everything else has been tried and failed. Judgment is the last step, you’ve tried everything else, then you categorize and move on. Judgment is FINAL. It’s non-negotiable, it just is, it imposes itself. It’s made when all information has been gathered and examined.
I prefer assessment. We do need assessment. To know where we stand, who we’re dealing with, where we are, and how to proceed. The difference is that an assessment is always up fo reevaluation. It’s an estimate, a temporary judgment if you will that can be questioned and can change based on new information.
We are human, we are constantly changing, learning. More constructive to assess and help a person see and learn, than to judge them, that prevents them from growing. Also there is no need to always disclose your assessment. As it can be perceived as judgment. We gotta keep in mind the imperfection of our perception and observations. Assessment is helpful and necessary for guidance. Do not use labelling (judgment). Describe action/perception trying not to use labels.
